What to expect during the chimney cake workshop

The Chimney cake workshop was beyond fun! I went with a friend and we had to show up 10 minutes before the workshop started. Once it was time to begin, we were led downstairs where the equipment we’d need had been laid out. If you’re not a baker like me, this can be quite intimidating. Luckily, the host was amazing and she reassured us before we begun.

The workshop wasn’t crowded, which was perfect. I went with a friend, and there was a family of three from Poland.

We each got some yeast dough, a roller pin, oil, sugar, an apron and a few other utensils. The workshop begun with a brief history on chimney cakes and how they’ve evolved today.

Once the dough was stretched out. We greased our pins and carefully wrapped our dough around them. Once fully wrapped, we dressed our chimney cakes in sugar. And then it was time to bake!
